Purchased Ken's ALTAZ mount. Excellent build quality, outstanding value. Mount works quite well with an AP Traveler, and probably with any scope under 8" diameter/15 lb.

The completely mounted Meade 125 arrived yesterday. (Of course it was cloudy last night, but it was fun just looking at the scope in the living room)
Beautiful work, and Ken communicated with me well during planning, thru production and delivery of this custom mounted OTA.
For about the same cost of an off the shelf scope I have a completed setup of my choosing.
A true gentleman to work with, and craftsman, who has now become a friend as well.

Thanks DH

I got the Lightweight 80mm Guidescope rings - delivered in half the time expected. I used to be an engineer, so I admire the care and craftsmanship Ken lavished on the part.

Naturally, after I ordered it, I got a can't-pass-up on a 100mm scope, so as the Governator says, "I'll be back!"

It is a pleasure doing business with Ken! I purchased a "Ken modified" 127mm F-15 Mak this month and am extremely pleased with the scope and the professional and courteous manner in which Ken handled the transaction. I was referred to Ken by a good friend who knew about his excellent reputation and skills. All I can say is, "Great job, Ken." And, thanks. Look forward to doing more business with you.

I was in need of a rail and ring set for my Celestron 9.25 SCT. I sent Ken an email asking if he could constuct me a set, and within an hour I had a reply that he could. I sent him the measurements and within a week they were at my door. It couldn't have fit any better, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Also Ken stayed in constant communication with me and answerd any and all questions without delay. A real pleasure to do business with. I recommended to anyone shopping for some machined equipment to look no further. Ken can handle it.

Thanks Ken for a job well done.
One very happy customer.

Ken fashioned a set of mounting rings, and modified the saddle for mounting them on my 10" Starfinder. They are lightweight, strong, professionally made and worlds of improvement for my telescope. I would truly recommend Ken's workmanship and product to anyone. I am impressed with his communication during the process and his kindness. In the future, I know where to go for anything machining and telescope related. 1st class work. Thank you Ken. Much appreciated!!

I wanted an ST80 Ring Bracket and Camera Ring Set w/ Dovetail Base for my Nexstar 11. Ken milled this out almost overnight and arrived about 24 hours later. The quality was better and cost less than the competition we all know. Keep up the good work !! Ken has goodies that no one else does.

I have begun building a duplicate (almost) of the observatory which you and Ashly built. Exceptions will be the dome ring mounting and exterior siding material. My home is atop a glacial drumlin which provides great views of the surrounding mountains rising to 13,000 feet but also exposes us to the infamous "Matanuska" wind with gusts over 80mph. So, I will have to devise a means of holding the dome down and, given our winter conditions, I must put all dome support and rotation devices inside the structure. Exterior walls will be sheathed in T1-11 cedar siding to match my house. Thank you for sharing the information and photos I found in my copy of "More Small Astronomical Observatories" and on your website.

You make some interesting telescope stuff which make it possible for me to, among other things, attach my 80mm refractor as a finder on my Nexstar 11 GPS and I now know exactly where to get the pier for my observatory; pre-drilled and tapped for the Celestron wedge.

Best regards and happy holidays to all!

Ken is wonderful to do business with. I purchased a 3 in 1 bracket and pier from him over a year ago and the products are great. I was in need of a finder bracket for another scope a couple days ago and could not find one. I e-mailed Ken and he sent me a spare he had for nothing. That is customer service. Thank you Ken!!

I ordered a dove tail plate, a pair of tube rings and a retainer ring for my 8" f/6 Discovery reflector. I used the plate and rings to mount the telescope on a GP-DX.

The rings and plates arrived quickly with good fit and finish. The retainer works very well preventing the tube from sliding when the tube rings are lossened for tube rotation.

Some day I hope to own a larger scope and if I need any mounting accessories I will first contact Ken's Rings & Things.

Ken recently helped me finish a medium format camera body that I designed. He did an excellent job of cleaning up my rather crude design. During the same visit, we discussed an alt-az mount for my Stellarvue 102 refractor. Less than one week later I had the mount and the movement is as smooth as my big Astrosystems dobsonian. Ken excels at custom work. If you have an idea, he can make it happen and he will usually have some suggestions that will make your project come out better than you planned.

Ken's rings are first class! I just received a pair of custom-made rings and dovetail plate from Ken for my GP mount and homemade 60mm Solar Prominence Scope. In addition to looking good, they are well-designed, making the scope simple to attach and secure with no worry of scratching the tube. My setup was rock solid as I enjoyed viewing some nice solar prominences. This is the second set of rings that Ken has made for me and I highly recommend his work.

Ken made a 3in1 bracket for my CR150HD. I needed it to hold a ST90 not an ST80. So he made it a little larger for me. This is an excellent product. Well built with a beautiful lacquer finish. But what's best is having my ST90 as a finder, and the more convenient eye piece position. A great idea, and well executed.
Thanks Ken
